"OMG OBAMA WAS ONLY PRESIDENT FOR 11 DAYS WHEN HE WAS NOMINATED!!! OMGWTFBBBQREPUBLICANWINGS"

Y'all do realize that PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES is not a pre-requisite for getting a nomination, right? I mean, I assume people have more than half an active brain cell running in their heads despite over 10 years of working in IT. If you're going to argue against his winning of the award, point out the fact that his actual international politics background isn't quite up to par with the other nominees instead of going immediately for the weakest argument you possibly could.

Was he the best possible choice for the award this year? Clearly not. But the Nobel Peace Prize has something of a history of bizzare choices, so this shouldn't surprise anyone.

The new season of Dollhouse starts tonight! This show got really really good midway through the season last year, so make sure to watch it. Live is best, but DVR will do. FOX seems to really really love the DVR numbers for this show.

Tonight's episode guest stars Jamie Bamber, along with his native British accent. It's also one of the three episodes this season for Amy Acker, who is a regular on a mid season show.

Oops! I almost forgot to post!

Um. Not much to say really. Spent more time in WoW tonight. Got my newbie Death Knight out of her starting zone and started working on her Blacksmithing prowess. Also did the Human Newbie quests while I was at it. Started reading Interview with the Vampire again. Still haven't watched last weekend's True Blood.

Looking forward to a three day weekend now.

I spent way too much time online this weekend. I played enough World of Warcraft this weekend to get 2.5 levels on my Death Knight and get the majority of a level done on my Priest. And I now have a new add-on addiction in the combination of TourGuide and LightHeaded. Very nice little mods.

Hmm. I should get a new icon pic for Letalli. That Outlands image doesn't really do her justice now.

So, today was supposed to be the first day of work for my new manager. Apparently, he got a better offer yesterday evening. Yeah. For real. So no new manager for me. And a few more weeks of interviews for potential candidates, apparently. Great fun. Really.

In other news, I broke Keith's car. More specifically, the rear passenger window was known to be iffy, and it up and died on us after work. so it's being held in place with tape until we can drag it to a dealer to get fixed. We looked in the owner manual and noted that the glass probably broke where the pin connects to it, which means we aren't about to fix it ourselves.

Fun fun. Really.

And now, I go to bed with a massive food coma. Penne with alfredo. Mmmmm. Alfredo.

And I'd have a really cool and informative update, but I'm at work and I'm busy and I have a new boss starting tomorrow so I gotta get shit done.

WoW and CoH also ate my brain. CoH will eat it more once Issue 16 goes into open beta. Or I get into closed. Whichever comes first.

Also? True Blood and Dollhouse. Did I mention I've read the entire Sookie Stackhouse series of novels three times now? Two of which were in a row? I'm now lending the books to a co-worker of Keith's so that I don't read them all again.

And now, I track food! I'm trying to cut down on what I'm eating. To say I've been eating a bit too much lately is a bit of an understatement.

So, this past weekend, I made the weekly Costco trip on my own, as satyr_mi was not interested in going and rubicontiger wasn't up yet when I wanted to go. While I was there, I found bottles of something called Pepsi Natural. I was intrigued, so I called satyr_mi and he was intrigued and we bought it.

The three of us each drank one 12 oz bottle out of the 12 pack that cost $9.99.

It tastes like caramel beer. I hate beer. I like caramel, though. But I still hate beer.

So the next nine visitors to our house will get a door prize!

So, I'm a bit of a Sookie Stackhouse addict. There's the entire reading nine books in two weeks thing, and the entire watching all of season 1 of True Blood on blu-ray in, oh, a week? Yeah, so I just finished watching episode 4 of this season, and it has now officially blown past season 1 in terms of the awesome.

So, yeah. The awesome? Tara's entire party falls in that category. As does everything Sookie did at the hotel, and everyone she met. And Jessica in general. I was a little concerned about the new character, but I am really liking her now.

The not so awesome? Um. What not so awesome?

So, yeah. Very good show. Y'all need to watch. For real.

I just had my two upper wisdom teeth removed this morning. Currently on Vicodin and Penicillin and testing my gag reflex via gauze. Vicodin does not make me loopy. This makes me sad. It does take away any sort of pain I may be having, so I won't bitch too much.

Currently living on Ice Cream, Pudding, and Yogurt. Tasty. No, really. I got this Trix/Yoplait stuff and it's really good. And you can't really go wrong with chocolate pudding. Or chocoloate and vanilla ice cream.

Well, back to waiting for this thunderstorm to go away so I can get back to doing, well, nothing for the next 3 days.
