So, I'm a bit of a Sookie Stackhouse addict. There's the entire reading nine books in two weeks thing, and the entire watching all of season 1 of True Blood on blu-ray in, oh, a week? Yeah, so I just finished watching episode 4 of this season, and it has now officially blown past season 1 in terms of the awesome.

So, yeah. The awesome? Tara's entire party falls in that category. As does everything Sookie did at the hotel, and everyone she met. And Jessica in general. I was a little concerned about the new character, but I am really liking her now.

The not so awesome? Um. What not so awesome?

So, yeah. Very good show. Y'all need to watch. For real.

I just had my two upper wisdom teeth removed this morning. Currently on Vicodin and Penicillin and testing my gag reflex via gauze. Vicodin does not make me loopy. This makes me sad. It does take away any sort of pain I may be having, so I won't bitch too much.

Currently living on Ice Cream, Pudding, and Yogurt. Tasty. No, really. I got this Trix/Yoplait stuff and it's really good. And you can't really go wrong with chocolate pudding. Or chocoloate and vanilla ice cream.

Well, back to waiting for this thunderstorm to go away so I can get back to doing, well, nothing for the next 3 days.

Eagerly awaiting the new season of True Blood. Got season 1 (twice, first copy had two disk 5's and no disk 3's) and have been enjoying it far too much. Especially with enhanced viewing. Also been re-reading the first four books. Need to get the rest since they are introducing characters in season 2 that don't appear in the books until book 5 and later.

Been watching a lot of Dollhouse on iTunes. Probably more than is healthy. I even made a small number of icons from "Man on the Street". Because, ya know, I post oh so much...

Been playing City of Heroes and Civilization IV: Colonization and World of Warcraft. It's really hard to stay in one game for longer than 30 minutes at a time right now, though. -_- My ability to focus has gone pfffffzt!

Netflix is evil. In a good way. The Golden Compass was a good movie and they need to make the sequel now. Currently getting disks of Birds of Prey, which was cheesy and somewhat over the top but was still a pretty decent show.

Just finished a huge project at work and am now waiting to launch said project and train people on it. Time to get back to work

5th Anniversary of the game is coming up, oh, pretty much now. I'm about 7 or 8 months off in played time since launch due to various breaks, but still. And I may have a few too many characters to keep track of (not a complete list).

And it looks like the devs are going to be getting a jump on the festivities sooner rather than later.

I was going to post this as a comment on the CoH comm, but then I remembered that far too many people on that comm haven't been worth the effort of late. Someone decided that the lead costume artist should be called "Sexist Jay" because of the female witch costume options coming in the Magic-themed booster pack for CoH. And, boy, they should get a real live woman working with him (as opposed to the fake ones like War Witch and Ex Libris, apparently). That said, I'm not above being bitchy and sarcastic in the brief response I did post over there. I did not, however, post the below post. So I'm putting it here.


You know, a lot of people back in the day complained about how sexist it was in EverQuest when the new female models they generated with Shadows of Luclin all had ginormous boobs. Turns out the model designer was a chick. Oops.

Comic book females in general have prominently displayed and barely covered chests. Not all of them, but then there are certain genres of characters that typically do. Black Magic Chicks, especially. This includes characters made and drawn by women, not just those that men come up with. And, let's be extra fair here. They've given everyone (straight, gay, male, female, all of the above, none of the above, other) plenty of eye candy in this game since it launched. (Not that I'd know or anything.)

That said, I'd like an option with the side-panels on the female witch costume filled in. And an option with a slightly higher bust line.

If you don't play City of Heroes, this post will make no sense to you.

Now that the Mission Architect has gone live, I can honestly say it's way more fun when people actually play your arc. So far, I've had 5 ratings on a junk arc I loaded up (Mass Chaos, Arc 3998) and it has no plot. It's a fun set of fights, though, so that definitely helps out. 5 missions, 3 bosses each, small/medium maps. Longbow - Arachnos - Council - Paragon Police - Rikti.

I got enough tickets out of the first three missions in the original 5 boss version to unlock everything I needed for the first real arc that I'm working on, so I nerfed it down to 3 bosses. 5 was just a bit of overkill.

Break time's over, back to work!
